Although judicial salaries are certainly higher than the average wage for England and Wales, it is worth noting that judicial salaries are commensurate with the high level of responsibility and expertise required for these positions. The average wage for England and Wales in 2021 was £31,772 per year, while the average judicial salary was £185,253 per year.
